His Perspective
Just a couple of married Canadian DINKs (Double Income No Kids [yet]) from Toronto about to hit the Social Media scene in a big way! I’m Andrew – the newest travel and food blogger – an idea fuelled by my fixation with posting on TripAdvisor, my love of National Geographic, and all the amazing technology currently available that I want to play with! Thank you for following and giving me the perfect excuse for that new camera and laptop… and all the accessories!
In less than 24 hours we went from having essentially no internet identity to an explosion of accounts: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest… this web domain… and we’re diligently weighing other options.
Why the Change?
We write down our goals and work hard to achieve them. Simple methodology I know, but highly effective. The problem – that sudden feeling of stagnancy that surfaces after reaching your plan ahead of schedule without new goals to replace the old. The solution – change direction; write down and develop the new plan!
Step 1. Invest in Real Estate (Buy a Home)
Step 2. Sell the House and Invest the Profit (Platinum Investments)
Step 3. Live with Family (Keep the Cottage)
Step 4. Request Unpaid Leave of Absence from Employers (Thanks Boss!)
Step 5. Travel and Blog (Motivate Others)
Her Perspective
I’m Krissy - a Registered Nurse with a passion for travel, food, our Yorkies, and helping others. I frequent the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) website to stay current on travel immunization requirements and precautions. Imagine my surprise when, in the Bahamas, I became infected with the Travel Bug. Please be advised, the Travel Bug appears to be highly contagious. Symptoms present as an irresistible urge to explore the world. And now I am a vector transmitting the travel PATHogen to you!
Not laughing at my attempt at humor? That’s okay, I laugh at my own jokes… a lot.
A lot of my day is consumed by the thought of food. I love food. And travelling became the perfect excuse for me to photograph everything I (or Andrew) eat. The only difficulty – gluten – my nemesis. It wasn’t as mainstream to be gluten free 8 years ago, but now I’ve learned to navigate internationally while avoiding gluten. Whether it be self-prepared meals or restaurant dining, I hope to help you by sharing my successes with catering to dietary restrictions away from home. Maybe I’ll tempt your taste buds into travelling…
A&K Perspective
We’ll both blog and provide unique perspectives that allow you to follow us or follow in our footsteps…and hopefully, in time and with your support, we’ll see our passion for travel become a profession…
Until then, it’s the perfect excuse to free our toes in sandals!
